T2 athlete Colby Granstrom made his World Cup debut today in a slalom in Levi, Finland. It was the first slalom of the season, which saw a lot of attack-from-the-back skiing.
Granstrom, last year’s World Junior Champion in super combined, ran into trouble and didn’t qualify for a second run, but he skied well and has a very bright future. Congrats to him on the career milestone!
In the women’s slalom yesterday, Megan McJames got her first World Cup start of the season out of the way. She tied the USST’s Sarah Schleper – both were about a second from qualifying for a second run.
